Soccer Announcement

Hi ladies!  Thank you so, so much again for trying out for the girls soccer team!  I had a really difficult time making a decision about who made the team because you all worked so hard and did well at tryouts.  Unfortunately, I did have to make cuts since we only have one team this year.  As a reminder, I was looking for three things during tryouts--skills, attitude/coach-ability, and potential.  I did have to consider the potential for next year's team as well (which is why this year's team is not made up of all seniors :)

All of you can be expecting another email from me...if you made the team, the next email will include information about team camp, practices, and our schedule for the fall.  If you did not make the team, the next email will explain why and give suggestions for next time.

Here is the team in alphabetical order (by first name):

Alexis Erwin
Alexis Harris
Brenda Ayala
China Coleman
Domanique Anderson
Hailey Faggon
Ivy Skillion
Jada Curbeam
Jazymyne Moss
Katherine Climaco
Kathleen Quiron
Kaytleighn Clinard
Kia Bridges
Markeshai Battle
Megan Sadler
Quneise Raines
Rhiana Pantello
Scherly Gomez

Thanks again for trying out!  I'm proud of you all!

-Coach Boyd

Lack of Updates

I'm sorry that I did not keep up with the posts for the last 10 days of school!  I had to be absent for some health reasons for a few days and working on exams and grades kept me from staying on top of the blog!

Thanks for being in my class this year and for working hard!

Have a great summer!

Chapter 8 Re-Test day (5/11/12)

Today, we did the chapter 8 re-test!  I'm sorry I didn't update Wednesday and Thursday, I was out sick on Thursday, and was proctoring an EOC Wednesday, and I forgot!

A heads up for next week:

It will be really, really important to have your UPDATED stock chart in class every day next week.  We're going to be finishing the project!  Also, bring your textbooks Monday because you will need them for an activity, and I will start checking books in!

Have a great weekend!

Factoring Review Days (2 and 3) (5/7-5/8)

The past couple of days have varied a little bit class to class, due to the EOC testing.  However, generally, we've been doing the factoring review sheets and updated the stock charts every day!  Today, 6B and 7B also did a "chain reaction" activity which was a factoring puzzle.

Due tomorrow: Review sheet day 3

Friday, May 4, 2012

Factoring Review Day #1 (5/4)

Today, students checked on their stocks and recorded the daily share prices for their companies.  After that, we had a lesson reviewing prime factorization, GCF, and factoring by pulling out the GCF.  Students worked in pairs on a worksheet covering those skills.  Student also all received a progress report that had their current grade as of today.  Towards the end of class, they had a chance to do test corrections or turn in missing work from when they were absent.

Due Monday: Finished Factoring Day #1 Worksheet

Project Day #1 (5/2/12)

Yesterday was the EOC!  I hope everyone tried their best!

Today was the first day of our stock market project.  The students all picked three companies in which to invest their imaginary $10,000.  After getting an overview and timeline of due dates from me, they all got a laptop to do research on their companies.  Students had to go ahead and get the share prices for today, record them on their spreadsheet, decide how many shares from each company to buy, and figure out how much extra money they have after buying all of their shares.

Every day, the students need to record their share prices for the day by going to http://finances.yahoo.com/ and getting a quote for their particular companies.

Review Day #5! (4/30)

Happy-last-day-before-the-EOC!

Today was one last review day before the EOC!  We did a warm-up that was multiple choice and went over systems of equations.  We went over the previous two review sheets by having volunteers come up to the board and work out the problems.  All students got one last review sheet to do for practice (even though I'm not going to be picking it up tomorrow).

For tomorrow: NO homework.  STUDY!  Remember to get a good night's sleep tonight.

Some advice for tomorrow when taking the EOC:
  • Relax
  • Listen to directions
  • Plan your time
  • THINK about the questions
  • Use the answer choices to help you figure out the question
  • Eliminate answers when possible
  • If a question asks you to "solve," plug the answers back in!

Review Day #4 (4/27)

YAY Friday! :) Today, the warm-up reviewed mean, median, and mode.  Students turned in their homework from the night before, and we will be going over that on Monday.  We did a lesson today that was a quick overview of 9-9 (Quadratic Formula), 10-2 (Stem-and-Leaf Plots and Frequency Tables), and 10-3 (Box-and-Whisker Plots).  Students took notes on a guided notes sheet, and then for the last 20 minutes of class, students worked in partners on a review sheet for the EOC that included the topics from the lesson.

Due Monday: Review Sheet #5

Thursday, April 26, 2012

Review Day 3 (4/26)

Happy Thursday!

Today, the students came in and immediately started reviewing for their quiz.  While they took their quiz, I checked off their two review sheets from yesterday.  We spent some time going over the two review sheets-- getting volunteers to come up to the board to do problems.  Everyone got a new review sheet (review sheet #4) to do for tomorrow.

Due tomorrow: 2A and 3A classes need to all of the review sheet except for the systems questions

4A needs to finish ALL of the review sheet 4

Wednesday, April 25, 2012

Review Day 2 (4/25)

Instead of doing a warm-up today, the students checked all of their answers from their practice EOC yesterday.  We went over some of the most missed questions, and then the students worked on the next two EOC review sheets.

Due tomorrow: BOTH completed EOC worksheets

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

Practice EOC (4/24)

Today we spent the class period taking a practice EOC test.  This was a full-length, 65-question test that asked questions from all of the Algebra I standards.  Students need to make sure that they bring their test and answer sheet to class tomorrow.  Most finished the practice test in class, but if they didn't, it needs to be done by tomorrow.

Due tomorrow: completed practice EOC test

Monday, April 23, 2012

Finishing, Reviewing, Graphing (4/23)

Today, we did a factoring warm-up that was multiple choice.  All of our warm-ups will be multiple choice this week in an effort to talk about test taking skills before the EOC!  The EOC is in one week and one day, so we will spend some time this week reviewing each day.  Today, students who needed to finish their Ch. 8 Test finished it, and they also all got a review sheet to work on.  There will be a review sheet for each day.  After doing the review, the students learned more about graphing quadratics on the graphing calculator.

Tomorrow, we will be taking a practice EOC test, so there will not be a new lesson.

Due tomorrow: Finished Review Sheet.  Note: There will be a quiz on types of numbers and properties on Wednesday.

Friday, April 20, 2012

Test Day (4/20)

Instead of doing a warm-up today, we went over the most needed questions from the study guide.  After any last minute questions were asked, the students took the Chapter 8 Test.  A few students did not finish, and they will get the chance to finish it on Monday.

NO homework this weekend!

Review Day! (4/19)

Yesterday was a review day!  We did a warm-up that covered how to factor each type of equation we've dealt with and went over the homework from the night before.  Every student got a study guide with practice questions and had about 20-30 minutes to work in partners on the study guide.

Due Friday: Completed Study Guide

PREPARE for your Chapter 8 Test!

Today, we did another review warm-up over GCF stuff. I answered any questions the students had, and then they took a quiz on 8-1 and 8-2. With any of the remaining time, we went over homework answers.

NO Homework This Weekend!

Thursday, April 12, 2012

Smiley-Face-Bob (4/12)

Sounds silly, right? Smiley-Face-Bob? Well, it's a new trick for checking your work when you factor trinomials! Today, we did a warm-up reviewing factoring by pulling out the GCF. Then, the lesson was on section 8-3 "Factoring Trinomials." Students filled out a notes page with examples and directions for how to do the problems, and then students worked in partners on finishing the worksheet on the back.

Due tomorrow: #1-24 on the 8-3 worksheet

DON'T FORGET! Tomorrow, we have a quiz on 8-1 and 8-2.

Factoring with GCF (4/11)

Yesterday, we did a warm-up that was a combination of DEA booklet questions and questions written on the board. All of them were related to pulling the GCF out of a polynomial. We finished lesson 8-2 by doing more examples. In 2A and 3A, students then practiced their skills by doing page 555 #2,4,6,12,16,18,20. In 4A, we moved on to introduce section 8-3.

Square-Square-Multiply-Double! (3/28)

Today, we did a warm-up from our last DEA assessment. Students received their old DEA booklet to start using as warm-ups. Hopefully, all of the extra practice with multiple choice questions will help prepare students for the EOC by giving them better test taking skills.

The lesson today was on section 7-9 "Special Products." Students learned two different patterns to use a short cut for certain special binomials. One was "square-square-multiply-double!" and the other was the difference of two squares.

Also, in 3A and 4A, students graded each others quizzes (no names on the quizzes...just numbers). This allowed us to go over the quiz affectively and also see mistakes to avoid on the test on Friday.

Due tomorrow: #1-18 on the 7-9 worksheet.

Remember: ALL Test Corrections are due Friday AND the Ch. 7B TEST is Friday!

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

Polynomial Quiz and Special Products Intro (3/27)

Today, we did another warm-up reviewing 7-6 and 7-6 (polynomials, degrees, terms, and combining like terms). Students were allowed to use their notes and warm-ups to help them on the quiz if they wanted to. The quiz took most of the rest of class period...it was kind of long for a quiz. After the quiz, students recieved a 7-9 worksheet and needed to fill in the definitions and key concepts from their book.

Tomorrow, we will learn lesson 7-9 and do more practice with 7-8. The Ch. 7B Test has been moved to Friday.

Due tomorrow: the filled in definitions and key concept box from the 7-9 worksheet

Multiplying Polynomials (3/26)

Happy Monday to you!

Today, we did a warm-up on polynomials (from sections 7-6 and 7-7). I did not pick the warm-up up, but you will be allowed to use your notes and your warm-up on the quiz tomorrow, so keep it! The lesson today was on section 7-8 "Multiplying Polynomials." Really, it wasn't anything new--we just distributed terms, used our exponent rules, and combined like terms. (3 things we've done before). Students had about 15-20 minutes to work in partners on finishing the 7-8 practice worksheet while I passed out their Ch. 7A tests, 6-6 take-home-quizzes, and progress reports.

Due tomorrow: 7-8 Worksheet and study for your 7-6/7-7 Quiz

Announcements: Below is what was printed on the bottom of each progress report:

--The Chapter 6A Test is listed as "excused" if it was counted on the 3rd nine weeks (which means it helped your grade before report cards). If you have a grade for the Ch. 6A test, it hurt your nine weeks grade so now you can do corrections. DUE by FRIDAY, March 30th.

--The Ch. 7A Test corrections are also due by Friday, March 30th.--If you have a 0 for an assignment, it means you were present when it was assigned and when it was due, and you did not turn it in.

--If you have an "incomplete" or "missing" for an assignment, you were absent from class either when it was assigned or when it was due.

--You will have another take-home quiz on sections 6-6/6-7 after Spring Break since many students did not do well on the first one. (You'll notice you received a grade for turning it in, but I did not grade it and give you a quiz grade).

--REMEMBER: I do NOT accept LATE work during the 4th nine weeks. All assignments must be turned in the day they are due (unless you are absent).

Word Problems and Stock Seminar (2/28)

Today, we did a warm-up reviewing how to solve systems of equations using substitution. We went over any confusing homework problems, and then we finished the worksheet from yesterday by doing the word problems (10 and 11). Our "lesson" today was finishing up those word problems.

For the remainder of the period, we did a mini-seminar on stocks. We talked about some of the concepts our guest speaker introduced us to last week and talked about the students' opinions about what they would buy if they bought stocks.

Due by Friday: go to www.nyse.com . Click "Listings Directory" at the top of the page. Click "index." Choose 2 companies from the index that you want to invest your imaginary money in for this project. Write down their ticker symbols and write a couple of sentences explaining why you picked those two companies.

Monday, February 27, 2012

Substitution (2/27)

Today, we did a warm-up on the graphing calculator. The students learned how to graph a system of equations and then find the solution by using the "Intersect" tool.

That led us into our lesson on 6-2: "Solving Systems by Substitution." We talked about how sometimes equations are not easy to graph, so there are other ways to find a solution to a system besides graphing. All students received a worksheet to help them take notes on the steps of how to use substitution and then we worked examples out as a class. For the last 20 minutes of class, students worked in partners to finish 1-9 on the worksheet.

Due tomorrow: #1-9 on the 6-2 Practice Worksheet

Thursday, February 23, 2012

Guest Speaker Day! (2/23)

Today, Matt Wiltshire, Director of the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Community Development, came to talk about stocks: what they are, how they have value, and how you buy/sell them. Students had a chance to ask him questions about stocks and the stock market. It went really well! (This was to lead into our new Paideia project about the stock market--more details to come about that).

For the brief time we were in class, we reviewed material for the Ch. 5B ReTest that is tomorrow!

For tomorrow: STUDY! Finish test corrections!

Wednesday, February 22, 2012

Graphing Systems (2/22)

Today, we did a warm-up reviewing a few of the concepts from Chapter 5. (Because we are doing the Ch. 5B re-test on Friday).

We jumped into the lesson--section 6-1 (part B). Students received a sheet of paper with 6 coordinate planes on them. There were six examples total, and all of the students had to graph equations by hand and by graphing calculator to solve the system of equations.

Due tomorrow: page 400 #2,4,6,7,8

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Mini-Lesson and Groups (2/21)

Today, we split up into groups! We're going to try and do an experiment to see if having the class in groups helps everyone learn better... I'll let you know how it goes by Friday :)

We did a warm-up where we talked about what a solution is. There was a "mini-lesson" on section 6-1 which was about checking a solution in a system of equations (plug it in and see if it works). (Tomorrow, we'll work on the graphing part).

All of the students got their test back from last week. We talked about how we are going to do a RE-TEST on Friday to make sure everyone is understanding slope, slope-intercept form, graphing lines, and writing equations of lines.

Correcting the test will be a QUIZ grade! This is due by the end of the day on Wednesday.

No homework, unless you want to go ahead and work on those test corrections!

-PS- Friday, there was a sub, and students did a practice worksheet for 5-5.

Thursday, February 16, 2012

Last DEA Test! (2/16)

Today, we did a warm-up reviewing domain and range and Pythagorean Theorem. After the warm-up, students received their scantron forms and test booklets for our last DEA test.

DEA stands for "Discovery Education Assessment." You've seen the results from the previous DEA tests on those forms attached to the report cards. Hopefully, the DEA test today will reveal improvement in all of my students!

You should get the results for this DEA test by the next report card.

Due tomorrow: (same thing as yesterday)

page 333 #2,4,5,6,8,10,16,18

Parallel and Perpendicular Lines (2/8)

Today, we did a warm-up that went over point-slope form (the last thing we did yesterday).

All students received a 5-9 guided notes page. We went over section 5-9, and students filled in the notes pages as we went.

Due tomorrow: page 365-366 #2,3,22,26

Quiz and Intro (2/7)

Hello! I'm sorry I did not have this up yesterday!

Yesterday, we did a warm-up reviewing the types of slope-intercept problems the students would see on their 5-7 Quiz. After going over that and the homework, students had a chance to ask any questions they may have had before the quiz.

We did a wee-bitty intro lesson on section 5-8 (point-slope form). We'll touch on that today as well.

Due Wednesday: page 355 #1,2,4,8,10

Monday, February 6, 2012

Slope-Intercept Review (2/6)

Guess what we learned about today? Slope-intercept form! Go figure. :)

We did a warm-up that involved word problems with slope-intercept. All students received a guided notes page to fill out as we went over the three types of problems they will see on their quiz tomorrow.

Due tomorrow: page 348-349 #14-20, 22-24, 26-27, 32

Apangea! (2/3)

Today, we met in the middle school media room to work on Apangea on the laptops. It's recommended that all students do work on Apangea for at least an hour a week for it to be effective in preparing students more for the EOC.

No homework.

Slope-Intercept what what?! (2/2)

Today, we did part B of section 5-6. There were three objectives for the lesson:

Write an equation in slope-intercept form when:

1) you're given slope and a point
2) you're given 2 points
3) you're given a word problem

Due tomorrow: 5-7 worksheet

Wednesday, February 1, 2012

y=mx+b (2/1)

Today, we had a notebook quiz! Students needed to staple together and turn in 5 things:

1) 3 warm-ups from 1/23-1/31
2) 3 sets of notes from chapter 5 or 2 sets of notes and the motion detector activity sheet

After the warm-up, we did a Think-Write-4 Corners activity. Students had to pick the equation they thought would have the steepest slope, write why they thought that, and then go to the corner that corresponded with their answer. After that, we talked about slope-intercept form and took notes on it. The practice worksheet was due at the end of the class period.

Test Day! (1/31)

Happy Tuesday!

Today, we took the chapter 5A test; it covered sections 1-4 and 6 from Chapter 5.

After the tests, students got a progress report from this class. They had the opportunity to work on any make-up work that they needed to.

Nothing is due tomorrow, but make-up work is due by Friday.

Review Day (1/30)

Gooooooood Monday morning to you all!

(I did not remember to post on Friday because we went to the middle school to do "Apangea" orientation on the laptops. There was no homework for the weekend)

Today, Monday, January 30th, we reviewed sections 5-1, 5-2, 5-3, 5-4, and 5-6 to prepare for the Chapter 5A Test that is TOMORROW. Students received their 5-1/5-2 Re-Quiz back, we went over that, received a study guide, and went over that. Students did have time to work on the review problems from their book, but any unfinished review questions are due tomorrow.

For Tomorrow:

STUDY! Make sure you are ready for your test tomorrow by reviewing your quiz, your notes, and doing practice questions. Finish the practice questions from the study guide:

page 343: #1-5, 7-9, 12-13

page 382-384: #4,6,8,13,14,16,18,20,28,32,38,42

Thursday, January 26, 2012

Direct Variation (1/26)

Today, we did a warm-up that led us right into the lesson for the day. We went over the slope homework from last night, and then took notes on section 5-6: Direct Variation. The key to the lesson....y=kx

Due Tomorrow: page 339-340 #1-9, 37

Wednesday, January 25, 2012

Re-Quiz, Re-Learn (1/25)

Today, we did the "re-quiz" on 5-1/5-2. The warm-up reviewed concepts that were on the quiz (intercepts and linear functions). The quiz looked similar to the partner quiz from last week, but this time it was taken individually and with no notes.

After the quiz, we went over the slope homework from last night (page 328 #11-17), and students had a chance to practice more slope stuff by doing page 327-328 #1-7 and #22.

Due Tomorrow: page 327-328 #1-7 and 22

Slope Formula (1/24)

Yesterday, (Tuesday), we did a warm-up reviewing adding integers and finding x and y intercepts.

We went over the slope worksheet from Monday.

The lesson from section 5-4 connected finding slope on an actual graph to finding slope when you're just given two points. Learning about slope is the most important thing we're going to cover all year! After using the formula to find slope with several examples, students had a chance to practice their skills by doing #11-17 on page 328.

Due Wednesday: page 328 #11-17

Don't forget we are doing the 5-1/5-2 Re-Quiz on Wednesday!

Monday, January 23, 2012

Slope! (1/23)

Today, we did a warm-up that reviewed 2 things: knowing if something is a linear function, and graphing using intercepts.

We went over the 5-1/5-2 Partner Quiz--because it was really bad--and students wrote in the correct answers on it and turned it in. They will be getting a participation grade for doing that. NOTE: students will receive their corrected quizzes back tomorrow so they can study for the quiz on Wednesday.

We did a short lesson on finding the slope of a line with a graph (5-3 from the book). It's all about the RISE/RUN.

Due tomorrow: TEST CORRECTIONS

Also, the slope worksheet that was handed out today.

Saturday, January 21, 2012

Rate of Change (1/20)

Today, we did a warm-up reviewing independent and dependent variables. As a part of the warm-up, we discussed "rate of change" and how that is the change in the dependent variable divided by the change in the independent variable. I let students know we would be doing that with numbers and graphs on Monday.

After discussing the independent and dependent variables, we did an activity with a motion detector. Students were given a situation (for example: someone starts at the motion detector, walks away for 3 meters, stops, and then walks to the 5 meter mark), and they had to graph what they though that would look like. After predicting the graph, someone volunteered to model the particular situation, and they graphed the real graph.

Due Monday:

On the blank sheet of paper I gave you at the end of class, you need to write a sentence at the bottom that is like this:

________________ depends on __________________.

My example was "How sleepy I am depends on how late I stayed up last night."

Above the sentence you need illustrate the independent and dependent variables from your sentence. (So for my example, I would draw a picture of me staying up late for the independent variable and picture of me being really sleepy the next day).

Oops! (Wednesday & Thursday edition) [1/18-1/19]

Hello, all! I'm sorry I did not post anything yesterday!

Yesterday, 1/18, we reviewed three of the most missed concepts from the last test. Students received their graded test, any graded work, and progress reports from Algebra class. With the remaining time, students were allowed to work on either test corrections or make-up work.

NOTES: Make-up work or missing work is due by Friday. Test corrections are due Monday.

THURSDAY, 1/19:

I was at a Professional Development called "Demonstration Schools" all day today. It was pretty great...I learned a lot!

While I was there, my students in Algebra had two main tasks to work on (besides doing any make-up work or test corrections). Students had a partner quiz on 5-1 and 5-2. They were allowed to use their notes, their book, and their partner to figure out how to do the problems on the quiz. After turning in the quiz to the sub, students received a problem solving worksheet to help them work on problem solving skills using what they know about linear functions and intercepts.

Due tomorrow: Practice Problem Solving Worksheet

(Quizzes should have been turned in to the sub).

5-1 Starting Things off Right! (1/12)

Today, we did an "Anticipation Guide" for the warm-up. It had questions related to the lesson, and at the end of the lesson students answered the questions again to see if their answers changed. The lesson was from section 5-1 "Identifying Linear Functions." After the notes, students did a notebook quiz, finished their post-write from yesterday, and started doing the practice problems.

Due tomorrow: pag 304 #2-14 EVEN

Wednesday, January 11, 2012

Function Seminar (1/11)

Happy Wednesday!

Today we did a seminar on functions. We talked about a few different real-world graphs--a heart monitor graph and two stock market graphs. We discussed if they were functions, why that matters, and what each graph means.

Post-Write:

Make a table of values for Graph #1. Use the dates as the x and the stock values as the y. Include the following dates:

The first of each month, the 15th of each month, and your birthday!

Tuesday, January 10, 2012

Ch. 4 Test Day (1/10)

Today, we did a warm-up that covered the main concepts from the test. Then, everyone took the test. After the test, students got a stock market graphing activity to do.

NOTES: No homework, BUT tomorrow, we WILL be having a NOTEBOOK QUIZ. Make sure you have your notebook with all of your warm-ups in it!

Also, tomorrow we will have a seminar on functions...be ready for some good discussion!

Monday, January 9, 2012

Review Day! (1/9)

Today, we did a warm-up, went over the homework from 4-6, got the quizzes back from Friday, and went over any of the quiz questions.

After going over all of those things, played "Mind Point Quiz Show" with clicker to review concepts from Chapter 4. In all three classes, the winning group got extra credit on their test tomorrow! All students got a review sheet so they would know what to study tonight.

Problems from the review sheet are due tomorrow.

Due Tomorrow: pages 284-287 #4,7,10,14,15,20,22,24,28,31,34,35

Friday, January 6, 2012

Arithmetic Sequences (1/6)

Today, we did a warm-up that helped us review for the 4-4 quiz. Everyone took the 4-4 Quiz, and then we learned all about arithmetic sequences! The section covered was 4-6, and we talked about how to recognize an arithmetic sequence, how to find the next few terms of the sequence, and how to find a term that is really big. (Example: 3,5,7,9... Find the 36th term)

Students in 6B and 7B had time to finish the practice problems as well.

Students in 5B did not have time to finish the practice problems because of too many conversations happening during the lesson.

Practice Problems: page 279 #9,10,13,15,28

Due Monday: the above practice problems

Thursday, January 5, 2012

Scatter Plots! (1/5)

Today, we did a warm-up covering some of the questions from our last DEA test.

We went over the homework which involve plugging numbers into a function to generate ordered pairs and then graphed the ordered pairs.

The lesson today covered section 4-5: Scatter Plots! We talked about graphing them, deciding their correlation, and using trend lines to predict other values. After doing it all by hand, I showed the classes how to graph scatter plots on their graphing calculator.

Practice: page 271 #14-21

Due Tomorrow: Finish #14-21 on page 271 and be ready for your 4-4 Quiz tomorrow!

4-4 Quiz is tomorrow!

Welcome Back! Review and More (1/4)

Happy New Year everyone! Thanks for checking out the blog and for keeping up with what's going on in Algebra I.

This semester is crazy important for my classes because the state EOC test is in the beginning of May! It's really important for students to pay attention in class, take good notes, do their classwork and homework, study their notes, and participate in class. The better they do in my Algebra class, the better they will do on the Algebra EOC!

Today, we spent some time reviewing the concepts from the beginning of Chapter 4 (that we learned before exams). Since most people's brains turn to mush over break, we went through a powerpoint that hit the highlights of sections 4-1, 4-2, and 4-3.

After the review, the students worked through examples from section 4-4 to practice plugging in numbers into the x in equations, getting the y value, and graphing the (x,y) coordinates they got as answers.

DUE TOMORROW: #4 and #6 from the 4-4 Practice Worksheet
